Frequently Asked Questions

Business Support

  • Yes. Ongoing managed support is a big part of what we do. We work with small businesses to keep their technology running smoothly day to day, so you can focus on running your business rather than troubleshooting it. Get in touch to find out what a support arrangement looks like for your team.

  • Most of our business clients are small to medium sized, typically anywhere from a sole operator or a handful of staff up to around 40 or 50, with some up to 2-300. If you're not sure whether we're the right fit, just ask. We're happy to have a conversation.

  • Both. We come onsite anywhere in the Melbourne metro area, and we can handle a lot remotely as well, which is often faster and more convenient. For clients outside Melbourne, remote support is available nationwide.

  • We can handle the whole process: setting up a new user's Mac, email, apps and access, or making sure everything is properly handed over and secured when someone moves on. It's one of those things that's easy to get wrong, and we make sure it's done properly.

Microsoft 365 & Cloud

  • Yes. We're a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, which means we can advise on, set up and manage Microsoft 365 for your business, including email, Teams, SharePoint and security features. We handle licensing too, so you're not dealing with Microsoft directly.

If the purchase is to replace your old Mac, we can transfer all the data, set up your email and add in any other software licences that you may have before handing this to you. Once this is all complete, we can even recycle your old Mac for you at no extra cost.

If you are unsure about any of this, please contact our team to find out more on 9428 4999 or support@macaid.com.au

Security

  • We take a practical approach to security: making sure the right tools are in place, that your team's devices are properly managed, and that you have sensible policies around things like access and passwords. We can advise on what's appropriate for a business your size without over-engineering it.

  • If your devices are properly enrolled and managed, we can remotely lock or wipe a lost or stolen machine to protect your data. It's one of those things worth setting up before you need it.
